After the launch of the flagship series – the iPhone 17 for this year, the usual focus of the next big release is the new MacBooks. Apple is expected to host its October 2025 event to bring new MacBook Pro and Air, however, some Apple analysts have other plans. A latest report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the upcoming models, including the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models with the M5 chipset are expected to enter the mass production stage soon. As per the Mark Gurman and supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the expected MacBook Pro models are not expected to launch until early 2026. While the exact reason is unknown, some reports suggest that it could be due to supply-chain issues. Also Read: iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Best Deal To Grab This Diwali Under Rs 50000
Several leaks and rumours suggest that Apple is lining up M5-powered MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, refreshed iPad Pro units, and even a couple of new Mac monitors. At the same time, the rumour mill hints at a possible refresh for the AirTag and updates around the Vision Pro. So, while iPhones are already out, there’s still plenty to look forward to in Apple’s pipeline.
The highlight is expected to be the M5 chipset rollout. It may first appear in the iPad Pro and later in MacBook models. The chip upgrade itself might be the main selling point, as design changes are tipped to remain minimal until the M6 generation arrives.
That said, Apple is also believed to be working on long-term changes for its MacBook Pro line, including OLED displays, thinner designs, and even touchscreen support – but those are unlikely to show up before late 2026.
